Late Night with Jimmy FallonTV
Yes, it's been quite a while since I mentioned Jimmy Fallon was taking over for Conan on Late Night, but that day is finally here. Conan has done his last show and won't be back until June, but Jimmy starts his Late Night run tonight at 11:35pm CST. I feel like a lot of people are going to be watching this week to see if he can pull it off. He's got a lineup of what seem like friends of his like Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore so he can ease into the show. In addition, he's already been testing the waters with several web clips.

I watched a little bit of his 10th episode (friday with Tracy Morgan) and it was pretty bad. His monologue style is terrible. I think he shouldn't do a stand-up monologue-just go straight to sitting at a desk. It works for Stewart and Colbert.

Agreed, though a lot of comments around the web have been talking about how Conan also had a terrible start for his first few *seasons* until he got comfortable and developed his style. I wouldn't be surprised if the same were true in this case, and I'm just interested to see that Jimmy's not totally crashing and burning so there's potential for this to get significantly better.
